About Us

The South Khorasan Power Distribution Company was separated from the corporation of Khorasan Electric Power Distribution Company by the end of 1379, and since the beginning of 1380, it started its activities covering the cities of Birjand, Qhaen, Ferdows, Tabas and Nehbandan with the center of Birjand.

In the beginning of 1381, with the accession of Tabas city to Yazd province, the power station of Tabas also separated from this company and joined Yazd Electric Power Distribution Company.

Subsequently, according to the resolution of the General Assembly in 1384, with the change of materials, the articles of association of the company were established within the geographical area of the South Khorasan Province. As a result, Ferdows and Boshroyeh townships were separated from the company from the beginning of the year 85 and distributed to Khorasan Power Distribution Company Razavi joined.

By abstraction of the Ferdows power station, the geographical area of the company has fallen to about 98,000 square kilometers and the number of subscribers per square kilometer has dropped from 1.6 to 1.8, which has made delivery dispersal more difficult than many parts of the country. With the formation of South Khorasan Province, the company changed from Southern Khorasan Power Distribution Company to Southern Khorasan Electric Power Distribution Company. In parallel, three cities and towns of the new city were formed in the province.

In the implementation of the Decree No. 56-169 / 600 dated 16/12/1385 by the Ministerial Council on the abstraction of Ferdows city from Khorasan Razavi, the city joined the southern Khorasan Province from the beginning of 1386. With the formation of South Khorasan Province, the company changed from Southern Khorasan Power Distribution Company to Southern Khorasan Electric Power Distribution Company. In parallel, three cities and towns of the new city were formed in the province.

The upgrading of Sarbisheh towns, cities and towns to the city, and the extraction of them from Birjand and Ferdows, and the pursuit of the provincial political and administrative authorities led the company to revise its organization in the year 84 and to promote its power units in independent provinces New organizational chart and approval by the General Assembly. On the basis of the unified article "The Law of Independence of Power Distribution Companies in the Provinces", approved by the Parliament on 9/12/1384, and the Executive Order of the Law of 13/3/1386 of the Cabinet of Ministers, followed by extensive undergraduate activities with the participation of the experts of the electricity industry South Khorasan Electric Power Distribution Company is an independent and directly under the supervision of Tavanir Company on 1/6/1386. Currently, the company with its 246 staff provides its services to 345,000 municipal and rural communities.
